With the economy continuing to spiral downward, finding a destination that is affordable, yet memorable is my quest. Being in Minnesota and planning a car trip is the basic start of our journey. What I'd like to know from you, the reader, are destinations you can recommend from personal experience. Summer vacation; I can hardly wait! pip85 Posted February 5, 2009 Report Share Posted February 5, 2009 Being in Adelaide, South Australia I like to go to a small township named 'Robe'. This little fishing town is around 3 hours drive from me and it has a famous lobster statue named Larry as you drive in the town! Mind you Larry is missing a claw and he doesn't look quite right but he's the towns beloved lobster mascot. Robe is a seaside town as you've probably guessed and boasts it's lovely fresh seafood.
