antoreen Posted October 3, 2009 Report Share Posted October 3, 2009 Mahatma Gandhi, the greatest political personality of the modern India, has been titled as 'Father of the Nation' by the people of India. He devoted his life to free India from the British rule and to campaign in favor of peace and nonviolence. 2ND October is his birthday. This is the first year after his assassination by the Hindu fanatics in 1949 when the printing and electronic media of India have just forgot him.
