geek84
I love New York City. I am from around Philadelphia and New York is only about 2 hours away. The buildings are beautiful and the culture is very rich. Just walking a city block you take in so much either a beautiful building or a crazy person yelling at themselves. There are so many good restaurants and places to see like Time Square. Time Square is a place where you just stand there and look up and turn in circles to take it all in. I would recommend going there as soon as you can. You will not be disappointed.
timmymack1
New York City has a wonderful nightlife if you know your way around. If you are going to N.Y.C. for the first time I would recommend having a seasoned escort. I would not recommend going alone. Stay out of the alleys and don't act too friendly in public. If you like seriously overpopulated areas, outrageous rent, noise and pollution you will love New York City. Guest Jess
I absolutely love New York City. I've been there once with my mother and I fell in love the moment I came out of the cab from JFK. It was so overwhelming! All those tall buildings, people yelling, an enormous amount of traffic, just unbelievable. The best moment was on top of the Empire state building, watching out over the city, it just gave me shivers, it was so beautiful. We also went to see the Lion King musical on Broadway, visited Central Park (carriage ride included), took the ferry to get a good view of the Statue of Liberty and just walked around a lot. We've been there for 5 days but I wanted to stay forever.
icyeight
I have never been to New York City. I become more and more interested in going though. Someday I will take a week off and fly to New York. I would really like to visit ground zero and pay my respects, as well as experience a typical day in the life of a resident. My step father works for F.E.M.A and was called out to help with the clean up after the incident. We have a brick from the world trade center that we keep in a case on the shelf. If anyone has anything interesting to share about New York City, feel free to do so! This is my seventh post! How exciting is that? haha. 8)
c_shaztheripper
New York city is a very cool city to visit. There are a LOT of things to do. If you like to go club hopping or bar hopping there are plenty of clubs and bars open every night of the week. If you prefer the theater there is always a show on Broadway you can go to. Some people just like to go to Times Square and look at the tall building and the lights, which if you have never seen before is pretty amazing. I recommend you go whenever you get a chance and see New York city at least once.
Supurman202
I love New York City! Everyone should go there at some point in their life. I don't think its somewhere I'd like to live though. The city never sleeps!

Lauderdale) when I was 6 and was raised there, I then moved to Jacksonville and lived there for a few years. I live in Georgia now but I really miss Florida. As far as NYC, I went once when I was a teenager and I didn't like it then. I would like to visit it now that I am an adult and see if I have a different perspective of it. rachelne
New York City is definitely a one-of-a-kind place. I've traveled a fair amount all over the world and I keep coming back to NYC. I love the theatre and you can actually see Broadway shows for really reasonable prices! Be sure to check out TKTS and lottery for shows if you go. The biggest complaint I hear about New York is that it's so expensive. And it is, no doubt! But you can get around that. You can play lottery for shows and eat food from the grocery store and not go to the Starbucks on 42nd Street that has higher prices than everywhere else (including the other Starbucks that are mere blocks away). Don't be afraid of the Subway, it's all a part of the New York experience and you absolutely must try a pretzel from a street vendor. Probably a hot dog as well if you're a meat eater! If anyone's going any time soon I highly recommend seeing 'In The Heights.' It's a Broadway musical set in Washington Heights and it's phenomenal. Ask for standing room only tickets on the day of the show! They're only $22. Above all else, have an open mind! New York is truly a salad bowl of lots of extraordinary people. buddys
I don't think I would like New York City. I deplore crowds and stay away from crowded areas as much as possible. I guess I'm more in tune with nature than I am with people. My wife was in the hospital for nine days recently and I stayed with her all nine days. It was sheer torture for me. I couldn't leave her but I hated being surrounded by people like that.
