Guest jamielynn
I am a work-at-home medical transcriptionist. It is definitely not an easy job at all and requires schooling (about a year), but is very rewarding in the end. The pay is great once you get over the learning curve. How long it takes you to get over that learning curve varies by specialty, amount of doctors on your account, different accents, and how fast they speak . There might be some tears along the way, but I would not give up my job for anything in the world.
Dianna
I remember many years ago, I had worked for a paging company. Back in the day when the new fad was having a pager of course. I had to call up doctors in the middle of the night if the hospital were needed someone on call. There is only one this worse than calling a doctor and waking them up at 3am, and that is trying to figure out what they are saying or writing down on a piece of paper. I truly feel for you!
