Commuting shoes!

Commuting to work via public transit in big cities means a lot of walking, and sometimes dealing with rain, snow, or heat.  Finding the right shoes can be tricky - you want to be comfy, but still look stylish when you walk into the office lobby!  I like a good pair of slip-on sneaker-type flats, and some waterproof rain boots (big enough to add extra socks for cold slushy days).  What’s your go-to commuting footwear?

I like to wear nice flats that are comfortable.  One time I was walking into the office and saw two guys I worked with, looking good in suits with dress shoes.  This was before everyone was casual.  There I was wearing socks and tennis shoes.  I looked ridiculous.  From that day on, I always wore nice flats.
