Nansto
I work in a retail store, which is currently undergoing a complete remodel. One of the biggest changes is the amount of self-checkout registers; there used to be 6, now there are 24. This means that a lot of cashiers are getting less hours. I notice that some people like the convenience of self-checkout, but a lot of customers refuse to use those registers. They would rather wait in line. Some of those customers have told us that they know that more self service, means less hours for the employees. Does anyone else wonder about the price of convenience, in terms of employees trying to earn a living? Quote Link to comment
