jsherma5
So I like just the apple pie filling, I am not big on the doughy crust. But this one is super simple.Gather your items. Any brand will do. Preheat oven to 350 and set rack in the middle. Use a cookie sheet under pie to catch drips and prevent a mess. 1-2 cans apple pie filling, or canned fried apples 1 package filo dough Pie pan Table sugar Butter, melted pastry brush or paint brush Butter the pie pan very well. Pour your canned apples of choice into the buttered pie plate. Unroll filo dough buttering in between layers. Lay buttered filo ontop of apples and seal against the edge of the pie plate. Brush top with butter and sprinkle with table sugar. Bake until the filo turns a light brown. Once cool, you can top this with cheese or ice cream. Its not as heavy as traditional pie and works well with peaches too. Quote Link to comment
