gtdoss Posted September 17, 2017 Report Share Posted September 17, 2017 When I was a youngster, it seemed like everyone tuned into the Emmys, the Grammys, the Academy Awards, and even the Tonys! But over the past few years it seems like these awards shows have become kind of irrelevant to a lot of people. While a lot of young people watch the VMAs and the MTV Video awards, these other longstanding awards programs are just not resonating as well with people as they used to. It seems that the general public want to know who won what, but they don't want to sit through the two-or-three-hour fiasco in order to find out who the winners are, especially when you can get the same information literally minutes later on the Internet. The Emmys are being broadcast tonight at 8 pm ET, and that's what got me thinking about these award shows. Will you be watching tonight? Do you watch any of these award shows? Quote Link to comment
