QueenB
It's been a long while since I've sat back and taken a good look at my life. I'm currently making huge changes because I realized I was living for others and not myself. I'm excited to get back to what I love, which is writing and learning. Anyone else going through scary changes? Any advice? Quote Link to comment
Kristine_18
I quit my job to become a freelancer. I also got excited with this new chapter of my life, and scared at the same time, especially if you're going to think of your upcoming bills. But as my friend told me, there is no perfect time to be ready. If you wish to get something, go for it. There can be tough times, and if that happens, just think of the reason why you started to pursue what you really like. Use it as your motivation to keep going. Don't stop until you make it. Always tell yourself that you can do it. 1 Quote Link to comment
dnov86
My number one mantra is to live in day-tight compartments, as Dale Carnegie put it in How To Stop Worrying And Start Living, which is a book I'd recommend to anyone. You don't know what's going to happen tomorrow and you can't change what happened yesterday, so all you need to worry about is doing what you can today. Even if the actions you take don't have the desired effect, they'll at least distract you from worrying about what the big changes are going to mean for your life. 1 Quote Link to comment
sayeah
It's been known that the only constant thing in the world is change. Everything does so don't be afraid of making huge changes in your life as long as it is for the better. Just recently, I decided to quit my job. The company I worked for pays great but I just felt like "this is not what I want to do all my life" and here I am now, back to square one. Still, I'm not regretting it! My only advice is to not regret it and simply enjoy the changes you've decided to make. This way you'll have a more positive view on the outcomes and effects that may occur from your change.
