Andrei Chikatilo was a Russian serial killer. Basically, a Ted Bundy multiplied by 5 (you can read more about him with a simple google search). That being said, even though he has done horrendous things, while the police were working to find out exactly who was committing these murders they had to dig so deep into their city that they ended up solving hundreds, and I mean HUNDREDS of other disgusting crimes that were committed, and unsolved. I just found it crazy to think that while this man killed so many, somehow the good that came out of it was that many victims were brought to justice because of the increase of police investigation. Call me too optimistic, but hey, its something.
