·        Step 1 - Decide what you want to blog about: If you want to be successful at blogging, you first need to decide what you want to blog about. The good news here is that you can blog on almost any subject that you want to.

 ·        Step 2 – Get the name right: You need a name for your blog and you need to ensure that you get this name right. The name has to be right for many reasons, namely – people should be able to easily remember the name of the blog you own and two – search engines should be able to pull up the name so that people can find your blog online.

 ·        Step 3 – Are you going to buy web hosting?: Though you can host your blog for free, it is always best that you buy webhosting as in this way you will have more control over your blog.

 ·        Step 4 – Choose your blogging platform: There are quite a few very good blogging platforms that are in use. The most popular are WordPress and Blogger. Look around and decide what you feel is more comfortable for you.

Now, all you have to do is start blogging!
