SarahS2017
With Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah and New Years approaching quickly, what are some of your favorite and memorable traditions that they like to do with members of your family? I know some people enjoy to bake cookies before the big day or maybe open a gift or two on Christmas Eve. However, it's great to learn about how others enjoy the holiday with their loved ones. Tell me about some of the things that you enjoy that are most memorable. Quote Link to comment
JewelsCat22
I love hearing about everyone's holiday traditions! When I was growing up, we would always put up our Christmas tree on Thanksgiving. My sister and I would decorate the tree while drinking eggnog and listening to Christmas carols. Once the tree was all decorated, we turned out all the lights and listened to Christmas music that played through a box that connected to the tree's lights. The lights would flash in time to the music playing. On Christmas Eve, we'd always go to church, come home, and open two presents each. Each year, my sister and I would get a new Christmas ornament for the tree and new Christmas pajamas. We'd wear our new pajamas to bed and open the rest of our gifts in the morning. These are some fond memories I will always cherish. Quote Link to comment
RPayne
My husband and I just got married last November, and we started a new Christmas tradition! He found a recipe for cinnamon waffles (we had gotten a new waffle maker for our wedding), so we made those early Christmas morning for breakfast and I think we'll do that again, the waffles were delicious. We also bought each other pajamas that we opened Christmas Eve to wear on Christmas. I think we'll do that again this year too, although if we keep up that tradition we're both going to have a large collection of Christmas pajamas! Quote Link to comment
