eokoth
Hi fellow bloggers. I am very new to the blogging world and trying to do so anonymously at that. I think I have a lot to say. I've started afresh on social media with the hopes of keeping things anonymous. If anybody could check my first post and give me some feedback and any advice on how to get some sort of a following. I feel in over my head to be honest. Any advice will be helpful - thanks. Quote Link to comment
gashin4
Hello, eokoth! Where is your first post? My main tips are: Invest on getting your own domain. There are many ways to get a nice one for a cheap price; Depending on your niche, you can use Tumblr. But I believe that Wordpress is always the best option. You can get a nice hosting for a good price or start off with the free hosting, but make sure to have your own domain. It is your name and brand. Also, try to stay away from the supposedly free ones. As soon as you start getting hits, they will redirect your "free domain" to a page full of random ads; Study Digital Marketing. For all that's worth, it could even become your career! SEO, SEM, Affiliate Marketing, Content Marketing, Community Management, Google Ads Academy and HubSpot Academy are the ones I study the most. Google and HubSpot offer free certificates (and courses). It's really worth it, even to your resume; On Facebook, focus on content and reach and forget about ads. Really; Write a lot, you need to practice. Post the best content and network with another bloggers; YouTube is also good for monetization and to help you spread your content. You don't have to film yourself if you don't want to. There are many channels with videos made of typography, animations and voiceovers. I hope I helped you, at least a little bit! Wish you all the best luck! Quote Link to comment
Rachoor Shamarao
Though I am not an authority on blogs or SEO, I have tried to answer your question to the best of my knowledge to just to give a basic idea about blogs. Please read further. First and the foremost thing is the subject of the blog must be relevant to the heading given. The heading must be short and attractive or it should be inquisitive. Usually, the inquisitive headings will start with prefixes like- why, what, how, Do you want to know, etc. Such questions usually will create curiosity in the minds of the readers, and make them start reading your blog. The flow of language of your blog must be seamless and uncluttered. Your blog must deal with a particular problem in the field you have chosen. It must analyze the problem and show how it affects the section of the people that come under that field. Later, it is very much required that you must give an appropriate solution to overcome the problems you have discussed on your blog. Next, you must try to capture the attention of the reader within 10-15 sentences in the beginning, in order to make the reader read your blog till the end. Your writing must be grammatically correct, and content must be focused only towards the topic chosen. In order to gain the confidence of the reader, you must try to impress upon him by exhibiting the depth of your knowledge in the subject you are dealing. If you are targeting your blog towards specialists or technologists, who are experienced in the field, you must use technical terminology otherwise they will take you to be an amateur in the field and conclude that the blog is not worth reading further. But, when you target your audience belonging to a mediocre section of people, you must write in a simple language that should be understandable by everybody. To make your blog more attractive, more interesting and easy to grasp, it is better you insert relevant pictures, graphs, bullets etc. **6 Quote Link to comment
