I am a diabetic since past 20 years. When the sugar level in the body of a person is higher than the prescribed highest blood sugar level limit then, it is called ‘Hyperglycemia’. If the blood sugar level is lower than the lowest specified blood sugar level limit then, it is called as ‘Hypoglycemia’

Specialists say that Diabetes is not a disease; it is the management of sugar level in the body of a person.

When a person’s body fails to produce sufficient Insulin in his body, he starts to experience excessive thirst, frequent urination, fatigue and blurred vision etc, which are the symptoms of diabetes.

Mostly, all the doctors treat diabetes either with tablets or with insulin injection; and ask the patient to get his blood sugar level checked periodically, in order to regulate the patient’s blood sugar level. In other words, he will try to keep the blood sugar level of a patient to be within normal limits.

I have seen two persons managing diabetes without medication at their ages of 65 and 72. Anyway, I don’t belong to their category, but I am depending on the regular medication.

They were managing diabetes without taking any medicine, but, by doing yoga/exercise regularly, and by taking long walks daily, and by strictly adhering to the dietician’s instructions.

Anyway, they were visiting a specialist once in 6 months at least.

At any rate, it is a must that, a diabetic should be very careful in managing his blood sugar level. Otherwise, diabetes turns out to be a deadly dangerous disease that surreptitiously paves the way to too many health complications like-- heart problem, impairment of kidney functioning, and glaucoma, etc.

In the end, please note that the state of both ‘Hyperglycemia’ and ‘Hypoglycemia’ are dangerous.
