Toddler shenanigans!

Anyone else have a 2-year-old running around? How about a 2-year-old and a 3-year-old together? I do! Let me tell you about the fun little stunts my toddlers have pulled today. My 3-year-old decided to get a black marker, and instead of drawing on paper, thought it would be funny to draw on the kitchen table. This isn't terribly unusual, except today we are out of Magic Erasers. Those little gadgets are worth their weight in gold! So, now we have black marker streaks staining the brand new table in our dining room. Off to the store to get Magic Erasers! 

 

Then, my 2-year-old managed to lock himself in his closet. There isn't a lock on the door, but he got in there and it was dark and he couldn't figure out how to get himself out. It wasn't until we heard muffled crying after he'd been in there a few minutes that we realized what had happened. He's learned the fine art of opening a door, but he's so teeny that he can only managed to get doors open about half the time, resulting in him being able to get himself IN the closet, but not out. 

 

These are just a few of the things my little guys have managed to get into, just today. They keep life interesting for sure. Being babies number three and four, and likely our last, we are trying to soak up all the funny and cute things they do and not take it for granted. Having toddlers in the house, while exhausting, is a time you'll never get back. Don't wish away the days. They go far too quickly.

I don't have a 2 and 3 year old, but I do have a former 2 year who turned 3 about 2 weeks ago! They certainly are a blast at this age. I worked with children before becoming a mom and 2 to 6 has always been my favorite age range, they are so funny and insightful. Having my own 3 year old has been almost non-stop excitement. It feels like he made a huge developmental leap overnight, especially when it comes to speech! My little sure gets into his fair share of shenanigans though, his most recent endeavor was painting our living room carpet purple.
