Third Eye
In my opinion , Most important thing in the career long run is to know what you really want to do in your life . Try different things and be sure that you like doing . Don't fall into a trap of waking up everyday with the thought of going to a job that you hate . Quote Link to comment
MiraFMI
There is a lot of stuff each person should consider before choosing what to do in life. In the world which develops so quickly, I don’t think that it is a choice we make in high school. It’s ok not to know which work is better at the high school. I didn’t know that. But I looked for things I’m good at and for things I enjoy doing))) Quote Link to comment
Annie04
Choosing a career in life is like being in a relationship, a lot of complications and heartbreak. Being heartbroken with your first love is not the end, trying and exploring is the most I can suggest. Some people settle their career at the age of 40 or 50's there is no too early and too late as long you have the courage and inspiration. Quote Link to comment
Jazzy
I think students should get as much exposure to different kinds of jobs as possible. Working with the school career counselor, they can get permission to job shadow people working in different fields. The student must be realistic about how much education is necessary to enter a particular field and how much time they want to spend in school. For instance if the student is interested in medicine, they should know what is required to be a doctor or a specialist, and they should also know that there are many satisfying careers that have a much shorter period of study, such as respiratory therapist, or ultrasound technician. celebrate
Students face a lot of pressure on what their next step would be after high school. Not all of us dream since kids about the career we want to pursue. There are just so many different paths that it gets overwhelming. To add up to the indecision, society expect students to make this decision at a very young age, and parents don’t feel comfortable if their son doesn’t go to college or university right after graduating high school. I believe students should be able to be comfortable to take some time off to make the most important decision of their lives. Quote Link to comment
