LAKnows Posted August 21, 2018 Report Posted August 21, 2018 While waiting at the doctor's office or hair salon, I oftentimes wondered if tearing out a recipe from the establishment's magazines was wrong. I recall tearing one out and quickly putting it back in where it belonged. Nowadays, I've learned to use the camera on my iPhone, but I still wonder if people still tear out specific pages of their interest. Most of the recipes in a magazine can be found on the internet, but what if a person doesn't have access to technology? Does that make it acceptable to swipe a page? To me, I think it depends on the age of the magazine and whether or not it will soon be replaced. I may be wrong, but what do you think? Quote
jackinthebrokenbox84 Posted June 20, 2019 Report Posted June 20, 2019 I think this could go either way. Mainly depending on the business you are at and the quality of the magazine. My brother once had an editor job for a financial magazine and all though the price was not common it was $100 an issue. I understand that this is not the normal magazine you would find at lets say the dentist office. Although for discussion sake I would say ripping a page out of this would be frowned upon. However a magazine like a home and lawn or beauty magazine would and normally is not looked down upon to respectfully take a page out of. Quote
