Alison Ord
A professional institution offered me casual work and sent a contract for four days which I duly signed and returned. As the time approached I contacted them for clarification on one or two issues and was informed that the work had been given to another. My services were now not required. Because of staff absences they had been forced to employ a number of temps and communications had broken down in the process. Of course I didn’t let this lie and demanded some compensation, as I pointed out that I could have turned down other work. They agreed to pay me for the hours I had originally been contracted and the money was transferred to my bank account. It really does pay to complain sometimes. Quote Link to comment
