pristinechristine
I have only experienced sleep paralysis twice in my life, but they were extremely terrifying. What is sleep paralysis anyway? I mean, what is the real reason behind it? Scientists would give a biological explanation regarding the REM stage of sleep, whereas paranormals would say that you are haunted by an entity. My first experience was during the daytime, I was taking an afternoon nap and I woke up frozen with only my eyes moving. All of a sudden, I saw a dark figured woman from the corner of my room approaching my bed closer and closer. I wanted to wake up but I couldn't. I wanted to close my eyes but I also couldn't. I laid there frozen for what felt like an hour, and I finally decided to say a little prayer in my mind. Slowly but surely, the woman whose face was now only a few inches away from my face, moved away and disappeared. I was able to move again and bolted out of bed and went over to my mom. My second experience was just as terrifying, but it was at night time. I woke up in the middle of the night, to find an Egyptian being on top of me with a knife trying to stab me. I couldn't open my mouth but I was so afraid that I screamed with my mouth shut. I wanted to get help, which was right beside me only a fingertip away. I couldn't reach him, and the knife was getting closer and closer to my body. I said a little prayer again, and it disappeared. Ever since those two horrifying experience, I was never able to sleep alone nor without a night light. What is your take on sleep paralysis, and have you ever experienced it? Quote Link to comment
