Katherine
People under 30 years old, often portray and praise the nostalgia items of their early childhood days. We think back over our old shows when there were "real" cartoons or when we had to play "actual" games because technology wasn't as advanced. It seems as though folks are acting like the stereotypical grandpa who squeaks, "Back in my day..." and we are hardly even reaching 30 yet. Is it that times really have lost the goodness of days past, or is it that the new generation doesn't want to "grow up?" What makes this generation different from the previous ones who were married before 25 and working two jobs and buying a house? That was seen as the normal thing to do as an adult. Now we get married much later (if at all), kids are at least another 5 years out (and no more than 3 or you're bankrupt), and money for travels takes priority to a settled house with a mortgage. So are these modern adults stuck in Neverland, or have we lost the personal connections of ages past? Quote Link to comment
