Does everyone suffer from allergies?

Does everybody have an allergy to something these days? Its proven that 10-30% of adults suffer from allergies, while 40% of children suffer too.

I developed allergies as I got older, but mine don't interfere with my daily routine. Sad to say, though, almost everyone I know suffers from one allergy or another, and I have a couple of friends who seem to be sensitive to almost everything. This wasn't the case decades ago, so I wonder if the stress of living in these difficult times might be the cause. Our natural immune systems just don't seem to be working as well as they did awhile back.

 I myself have horrible environmental and pet allergies. Almost everybody in our immediate family and extended family takes some kind of antihistamine almost every single day.
