JC
Do you have any kids? If so, how many kids do you have? If not, do you want any kids and if not, why? Quote Link to comment
whiskode
No kid is the end of humankind. One kid is too few to care for the elderly. I have two kids but I put the ideal at three for a sustainable human and ecosystem's growth. Four kids is where the zero-sum game kicks in as scarcity of vital resources such water, land and food starts to be felt. At the individual level, the fourth child, no matter how spaced with the rest of the brood, will come as a net burden. That is, the smaller added happiness is at the expense of bigger added sacrifice on both parents' quality of life. Quote Link to comment
JC
Very well put. I myself have 2 children, 1 of each and I am very thankful, blessed and satisfied. I always say I have 1 kid for each hand. Quote Link to comment
hemmoglobin
I don't want any kids. Its not because I don't want to be burdened by the kid, or I am afraid of losing my youth. I am afraid that they have to face a different kind of humanity. They will be living in a very polluted place. Pretty selfish, some say. But I just don't want them to experience all the bad things I have been experiencing. Quote Link to comment
