These days internet services are available for a very low cost.  The user may think that they are paying a small price and using large amount of services. There are several options available to view such as news, videos, games, music, media, networking and a lot more. The user fails to understand that they pay a fraction of the cost because the benifit has already been made.  After subscribing to an internet service provider the user starts uploading large amount of data. This data could be the employer information, gps location, name, address, phone number, martial status, gender etc. The user gives away all this information in exchange for the free services that they enjoy. The companies that collect the data give to brokers who make the sale. The data collector generates huge revenue without sharing a penny with the data provider.
