Dog food

I have a a slightly overweight pug. His ideal weight should be 10kg but he is 13 kg now. I had put him in beef and rice before I noticed his weight. Now he is on a doet consisting of eggs and carrot along with a zero carbohydrate dog feed. 

Its quite costly and I would like to change the feed. I was wondering, if there are any pug owners here who could direct me to a better feed or atleast tell me more about the diet of your pug.
