Global warming refers to the long-term heating of the planet earth. It is mainly caused by fossil fuels such as coal and gas that form a blanket in the atmosphere thus trapping the sun's heat. As a result, temperatures rise gradually making the earth very hot. Global warming has negative effects such as skin diseases, excessive rainfall, and drought.
