TheSpruceMoose
I got my first laptop without a cd/dvd drive (which seems to be standard, now). I like it and it's nice and thin and light and everything, but I still kind of miss being able to stick a movie in or listen to one of my cd's. Even save something without it having to be on a flash drive. And, yeah, I know I could use external drives, but it's just not the same. Preferences anyone? Quote Link to comment
Bonzer
Well, I guess it's part of the evolution process of computer hardware. Both CDs and DVDs were great when they first made their way into tertiary storage. However, with the availability of ample cloud storage, high speed internet, secure communication(SSL technology), and cloud-based applications, the tertiary storage has become redundant. So, there you go! A laptop is meant to be mobile and a piece of lightweight equipment is always desirable. Quote Link to comment
