Do You Use the Microwave as a Conventional Oven?

I noticed an old book from the '70s about "microwave cooking" on the internet. It had recipes for cooking whole meals from scratch entirely in the microwave. This is a new concept to me. I mean, I'm used to the idea of heating things up in it, cooking TV dinners in it, or maybe using it to cook one small part of a from scratch meal, but using it as a primary cooking source.....I didn't even know you could. So, does anyone here do this? Completely skip the stove/oven and cook everything in the microwave? I'd like to hear how this turns out. Do things cook well? Are they still juicy and tasty?
