And now I've had a gas range all of my life. It's funny how a family can latch on to something like that and it goes down through the ages. I have friends that prefer electric ranges, and they'll tell me that their mothers and grandmothers had them as well. I guess I prefer the gas range because I can "see the flame." The only thing I don't like about gas ranges is that they may be a little harder to clean. But all in all, I always buy a gas range when the old one conks out.
