gtdoss Posted September 15, 2017 Report Share Posted September 15, 2017 I've been trying to figure out what North Korea's leader, Kim Jong-un, really wants. He clearly wants to be loved by his people, thinking of himself as a father figure, basically controlling whether they live or die. He also desires to be a nuclear super power. He also wants to be able to trade with various countries and not be sanctioned. He kind of reminds me of a toddler, believing everything is "mine, mine, mine." The problem with him being a nuclear super power is that he doesn't seem to mind if his people perish. He's very willing to gamble with the people of North Korea as poker chips, either by starving them out with sanctions or having them killed as collateral damage with a nuclear bomb or other weapons.
