The Science to an Afterlife?

What happens when we die? Do we go to heaven? Do we go to hell? Is the light at the end of the tunnel the light to another hospital room? Or probably the most important question: is there an afterlife?

We've all heard about all the different beliefs of different religions about what happens when you die. Some think you go to heaven, some think you are born again and based on your actions in your previous life, it will determine what type of life you will get. But these are just hypothetical beliefs, and there's no actual proof to whether it is correct or not. So, what is the actual science to an afterlife? Is it possible that you will live another life after death? First of all, we need to know what we are. Which, we don't. We're not sure what makes us, well, us. Do we have a soul that makes us who we are? There's not really an answer to that question. Many scientists would argue and say that it is our brain and the way that atoms are placed in our brain and the electric charges. But what about parallel universes? Might strike you as irrelevant at first, but in parallel universes, there is an infinite amount of yourself, as there is a finite way atoms can form, and eventually, it would start to repeat itself. Wouldn't the atoms in your brain reform eventually? And if so, would you magically teleport to that body after you die?

What are your thoughts on this? Do you think there is an afterlife? What defines human consciousness as we know it?
