I'm in the finance industry on the non-profit side of things and do mystery shopping on weekends for extra spending money. I've found a pretty great niche within mystery shopping and specialize in it so much that I have schedulers who reach out to me to offer jobs prior to the jobs being posted on company boards. While it's not the most lucrative and I can't think I'd ever be able to replace my day job with mystery shopping, taking on jobs here and there has allowed me the flexibility of paying off debt, building up savings, and treating myself to vacations I otherwise wouldn't be able to take.
