With a dog and twin girls, there always seems to be some kind of mess to clean up. I think that I could clean the entire house everyday and it would still be dirty! I only dream of not having to pick food, toys, hair, or dirt up from my floor. Maybe one day it will stay clean for more than an hour or two! Quote Link to comment

The only housekeeping I do without thinking twice is making the bed and picking dirty clothes off the floor. I once read that as long as the toilets are clean and the indoor garbage cans empty, that's basic-level okay for a presentable house. There's also a blogger who published a plan where each room gets 7 to 12 minutes of attention. I try tackling at least one unappealing job a day besides my bed and dirty clothes. Right now, it's separating what I want to keep or toss from boxes of old books and papers. Quote Link to comment
