Top 4 Early Pregnancy Symptom Myths

It's true that each woman experiences small to major differences during pregnancy. As a matter of fact, a woman with multiple children may have different symptoms with each child. However, there are a few common myths about pregnancy and it's symptoms that should be cleared up for the sanity of those trying to conceive or currently expecting.

  1. Morning Sickness does not always occur in the morning. A poll was taken on Baby Center recently that revealed that most women (89%) experience nausea and or vomiting all day long.
  2. Many women who are trying to conceive often use the position of their cervix as a tell-tell sign that they were successful during that cycle. This is not as reliable as most think because while the cervix will eventually rise during pregnancy the timing of this is different for each woman.
  3. Most women prepare themselves to gain weight during pregnancy. This is wise because you will eventually put on pounds when you're expecting. However, during your first trimester, the chances of you losing weight before gaining are especially high if you're experiencing sickness.
  4. There is a ton of talk about food aversions and cravings during pregnancy. What they don't much mention is that the aversions won't be restricted to food. The smell of your favorite bath wash, body spray, or even deodorant can send your tummy into rebellion.
