BrianKe
Becoming too dependent on a person can be detrimental to your mental health and can also strain your relationship with that person. Here are some tips to help you avoid becoming overly dependent on someone: Practice self-care: Taking care of yourself physically and emotionally is important for maintaining independence. Make time for activities that you enjoy, eat healthy, exercise regularly, and get enough sleep. Cultivate your own interests: Pursue your own hobbies and interests, even if they don't involve your partner or friends. This will give you a sense of purpose and fulfilment outside of your relationships. Maintain your own social circle: It's important to have a support system outside of your relationship. Maintain relationships with friends and family members, and make time for social activities that don't involve your partner. Communicate openly and honestly: Communicate openly and honestly with your partner about your needs and feelings. Express your thoughts and emotions in a respectful and constructive manner. Avoid relying solely on one person: Don't rely solely on one person for all of your emotional support. Cultivate a variety of relationships with friends, family members, and other support systems.
